Day 286 May 11, 2017 Eden to San Angelo, TX

Still catching up. We are out of the Texas Hill Country and into the Texas Panhandle Plains.

The map for today: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/20808777

Leaving the motel in Eden. Cool enough for me to wear knee warmers.

Initially today the scenery was basically miles and miles of miles and miles.

The terrain was basically flat, with some gentle roll to it.

We also saw three dead rattle snakes along the road. This was the largest.

We stopped in Wall, TX, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and School to take a rest and have an energy bar. Nice shady place. Also had a local dog that came over to say Hello.

Entering San Angelo. Apparently they have train service.

North Concho River.

San Angelo has a lot of statues of sheep in various colors. Don't know the reasons.

Not all that much to talk about today. All in all, a nice ride despite a headwind which kicked in for the last five miles or so.
